I believe in signs. I believe in symbols. How funny is it that I’ve just run out of paper to paint on, and I look into this box full of maps to find these, perfectly fitting for the steamboat. Yes, steamboats are mostly known for traversing rivers, but I like that this particular one shows the ocean depths, etc, of where the Mississippi lets out into the Gulf of Mexico. Can we get past the river and out into the ocean/world? I like that symbol in my mind. Spreading out through the world and universe. It’s all connected.
